Montréal, December 11, 2014 - Service de sécurité incendie de Montréal (SIM) management is pleased to note that the situation with the painting of fire trucks and stations is returning to normal. SIM firefighters are now washing the fleet of vehicles and cleaning the station garage doors.

SIM management is aware of its employees’ concerns and their desire to show their disagreement. “We are pleased that our requests and our discussions with the Association des Pompiers de Montréal (APM) were heard. The APM has shown its openness, and the firefighters’ professionalism won out,” said SIM Director François Massé.

Employees of Montréal’s fire department respond to nearly 300 calls every day. Their expertise and their unflagging commitment help to make the Montréal agglomeration a great place, and a safe place, to live.
