Editing page properties

To edit page properties, you must have at least one of the following privileges:

To edit page properties:

  1. In the Navigator, click Properties next to the page with which you want to work.

  2. On the Main tab you can:

    Change the name or description of the page
    Edit other required attributes if the page is based on a custom page type
    Change how the page is cached

  3. On the Template tab (available only for Standard pages) you can choose a page template for the page, or preview the page template on which the page is based.

  4. On the Style tab (available only for Standard pages) you can:

    Apply a different style to the page
    Edit style properties
    Create a style

    Note: If you have Manage privileges on the page (or All Pages), to perform the style tasks listed above you must also have Manage Styles privileges on the page (or All Pages), or the Enable Page Owners To Control Style page group option must be enabled.

  5. On the URL tab (available only for URL pages) you can change the URL displayed by the page.

  6. On the PL/SQL tab (available only for PL/SQL pages) you can change the PL/SQL code executed by the page.

  7. On the JSP Source tab (available only for JSP pages) you can change the Java Server Page executed by the page. On this tab, you can also download the JSP.

  8. On the Access tab you can:

    Make the page available to everyone
    Enable item level security (Standard pages only)
    Control access to the page
    Clearing the cache

  9. On the Optional tab you can:

    Publish the page as a portlet (Standard pages only)
    Set the page item versioning level (Standard pages only)
    Specify a page contact (Standard pages only)
    Categorize the page (Standard, URL, and PL/SQL pages only)
    Add keywords to the page (Standard, URL, and PL/SQL pages only)
    Edit other optional attributes if the page is based on a custom page type
    Apply a user interface template to the page (Standard pages only)
    Specify images for a page (Standard, URL, and PL/SQL pages only)

  10. On the Parameters tab you can:

    Add parameters to the page
    Pass values to portlet parameters (Standard and Mobile pages only)

  11. On the Events tab (available only for Standard and Mobile pages) you can set up events on the page.

  12. On the Approval tab (available only for Standard pages) you can set up an approval process for the page.

  13. Click OK to return to the Navigator.
