Jan-Fryderyk Pleszczynski

Jan-Fryderyk Pleszczynski is president and executive producer of 4U2C. As a member of the Cirque du Soleil’s executive team, Pleszczynski directs this dynamic studio that specializes in video creation and production, stage design and multimedia experiences for the entertainment industry. 

Prior to holding this position, Pleszczynski was president and executive producer of Digital Dimension, and worked for a decade to transform the digital content and animation studio into a leader in the film, TV and interactive entertainment industry, particularly in the fields of animated series for children and movies.

Pleszczynski, a lawyer by training, worked for several years in corporate law at Fasken Martineau, a leading international law firm, specializing in mergers, acquisitions and funding. His community involvement includes chairing the Conseil des arts de Montréal and sitting on the board of directors of the Théâtre du Nouveau Monde. In the past, he has served on various boards of directors, including those of the Chamber of Commerce of Metropolitan Montreal, the Société de développement social de Ville-Marie and the Legal Information Clinic at McGill.

Pleszczynski received the 2015 Arnold Edinborough Award, presented by Business for the Arts, in recognition of his significant contribution as a volunteer in the arts. In 2008, he was chosen to participate in the Governor General’s Canadian Leadership Conference. A graduate of McGillUniversity, he is a member of the Barreau du Québec and the New York State Bar.
