The promotion of food security for people lacking essential economic and social resources, assistance for teenagers with academic success and finding a first job, and the reinsertion of marginalized young people are some examples of initiatives that have benefited thousands of Montréal women and men thanks to Forks of Hope programs.
Nine years later, inspired by the success of this experience and become an authentic social entrepreneur, Brunilda Reyes then founded Un Rayon de soleil (A Ray of Sunshine), an ambitious social housing project offering a place to live that encouraged academic success for young single moms going back to school. Les Fourchettes de l’espoir and Un rayon de soleil are two convincing examples of social economics that are the pride of Montréal.
