Personal pages are very useful and flexible and provide an area within Oracle9iAS Portal where authorized users can store and share personal content. As the owner of your personal page, you can perform almost any page-related task.
For example, you can keep files, links, and other items for your personal use or choose to share this information by displaying your personal page to public users. Or, you can choose to share the contents of your personal page with specific users or groups only.
If your personal page contains both private and public content, you can create sub-pages to secure private content.
Before
you are able to access your personal page, the portal administrator
must have created one for you.
By default, personal pages use a page template to control the layout. If you want to change the layout of your personal page, you can detach the page from the template.
In the Navigator, click Contents next to the Shared Objects page group.
Click Personal Pages.
Click the letter that corresponds to the first letter of your user name.
Note: If your user name does not begin with a letter, click Others.
Click your user name to display your personal page, or click one of the action links to perform different actions on your personal page.
Note: You will not be able to display other personal pages unless the user whose page it is has granted you the appropriate privileges.
