At the helm of the Orchestre symphonique de Montréal for more than 20 years, Madeleine Careau’s career path has been as brilliant as it has been crammed full over the past five decades.

A model of tenacity and enthusiasm, she propelled the OSM to greater heights and contributed to many outstanding achievements, including the creation of ADISQ, the Maison symphonique, and the OSM Foundation. Madeleine Careau is indisputably one of the women who have contributed the most to Montréal's cultural scene and its worldwide renown.
