With a medical degree from McGill University, he successfully combined his career with the Kansas City Chiefs with demanding medical studies. After the Chiefs won the Super Bowl in 2020, he put his career on hold to help out Montréal's health care system during the pandemic. His generosity is also evident in his commitment to the Laurent Duvernay-Tardif Foundation, which he co-founded with his wife, Florence-Agathe Dubé-Moreau, to promote access to art and sport for elementary school children. His honours include Chevalier of the Ordre national du Québec (2019) and Member of the Order of Canada (2024). Deeply rooted in Montréal, Laurent Duvernay-Tardif nourishes and inspires the metropolis with his infectious passion, sincere altruism and tangible actions.
