Montréal has been selected to host a major artificial intelligence summit from 2019 to 2021.
Inspired Minds, the London-based firm behind World Summit AI, and Tourisme Montréal have signed a four-year agreement. The fact that Montréal was selected to host the Americas version of this event confirms the destination’s leadership in AI. The event is expected to attract 6 000 participants, which will amount to 32 500 nights in Montréal hotels. Montréal has become a global hub for research and excellence in AI. The city has attracted major digital players including Google, Microsoft, Facebook, Thalès, IBM and Samsung, all of which have set up AI research labs.
