Deleting a tab from a page

If the tab you want to delete includes content, the content is deleted along with the tab. You will not be given an opportunity to move the content during the delete operation. If you want to move the content, make sure you do so before deleting the tab.

To delete a tab from a page, you must have at least one of the following privileges:

Portal administrator
Manage All privileges on the page group to which the page belongs
Manage privileges on the page
Manage privileges on the tab
Manage global privileges on All Pages

If you have full customization privileges on a page, you can delete your own tabs when you customize the page; you cannot delete tabs that you did not add yourself.

To delete a single tab from a page:

Go to the page with which you want to work.
Switch to Edit mode.
Click on the tab that you want to delete.
Click Delete.
In the confirmation page, click Yes.

The tab and all of its contents are deleted.

To delete more than one tab:

Go to the page with which you want to work.
Switch to Edit mode.
In the toolbar at the top of the page, click Layout.
Select the check box in all of the tabs that you want to delete.

Tip: You can select portlets to delete at the same time too.
Click Delete.
In the confirmation page, click Yes.

All of the selected tabs and their contents are deleted.
