When you customize a page, the changes you make are visible only to you. If you want your changes to be visible to all users of the page, edit the page instead.
Notes:
You cannot customize the items on a page.
Depending on your privileges, you may not be able to perform all of the tasks listed below. For example, if you have Customization (Hide-Show) privileges on the page, you will not be able to add portlets to the page.
To customize a page:
Go to the page with which you want to work.
Click Customize.
On the Portlets tab:
Click
to add a portlet to the page. Navigate through the Portlet Repository
to find the portlet you want to add, click the portlet name, then
click OK.
Click
to rearrange the portlets on the page.
Select the check box next to one or more portlets and click Hide to hide them when you view the page.
Select the check box next to one or more hidden portlets (displayed in grey) and click Show to show them when you view the page.
Select the check box next to one or more portlets and click Delete to remove them from the page.
Select the check box next to one or more portlets and click Move to move them to a different region on the page.
If a region in the page contains tabs, click
to add another tab to the region. You can supply a name and image for
the new tab by clicking
in the tab. After you add a tab, you can then divide the new tab into
its own unique configuration of regions using the
,
,
,
and
icons. You can also edit the regions within your tab by clicking
or delete a region by clicking
.
Click
to rearrange the tabs in the region.
On the Style tab (available only if you have at least Customization (Style) privileges on the page):
In the Choose Style list, choose a different style to apply to the page. The preview shows what the currently applied style looks like.
If none of the existing styles meet your requirements, you can use the New Style section to create your own.
On the Parameters tab (available only if the page has customizable parameters):
In the Value field, enter the value you want to use for a parameter. Changing the value of a parameter may change the information displayed in portlets on the page.
Click OK to return to the page.
Notes
Click Remove My Page Customizations to restore the page to its original settings. For example, this removes any portlets or tabs added to the page. It also restores any portlet or tab that was deleted. All customizations are removed, no matter how long ago they were made.
Click Remove My Tab Customizations to remove any changes made to the currently active tab. For example, this removes any portlets or sub-tabs that were added to the tab through user customization. (Base portlets, those that were included on the tab prior to customization, are restored, if they were moved from the tab.) All customizations are removed, no matter how long ago they were made.
If you cannot perform actions on certain areas (or regions) of the page, the Enable Users To Include Content In This Region option for the region may not be selected. Contact your page designer for more information.
