A rigorous and committed visionary, Christiane Ayotte has raised standards and awareness in the service of integrity in sport, science, and public life.

Holder of a doctorate in chemistry from the Université de Montréal, Christiane Ayotte headed the Doping Control Laboratory at Québec’s Institut national de la recherche scientifique from 1991 to 2023. A member of numerous World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) committees, an International Olympic Committee (IOC) collaborator — notably as part of its Medical Commissions for the Games of Salt Lake City, Beijing, London, Sochi, and Rio — a member of the International Association of Athletics Federations (IAAF, now World Athletics) Anti-Doping Commission, and an expert witness in more than one hundred cases heard before international arbitration tribunals, Christiane Ayotte has exerted a decisive influence on the evolution of scientific standards and testing protocols worldwide.Involved with numerous boards of directors, she has built lasting bridges between research and sport, contributing to Montréal's worldwide reputation.
