A key figure in the development of the contemporary circus and President and Chief Creative Officer of Cirque Éloize, Jeannot Painchaud has contributed greatly to positioning Montréal as the international capital of circus arts.

A graduate of the National Circus School of Montréal, this artist with a great entrepreneurial spirit co-founded Cirque Éloize in 1993. He has since contributed to the renown of thousands of Québec artists and artisans, both here and abroad. In 2010, as president of En Piste – a group of Québec circus companies – he participated in the creation of the Montréal Circus Festival, now known as MONTRÉAL COMPLÈTEMENT CIRQUE. An eminent cultural ambassador for Montréal, Jeannot Painchaud's vision and achievements contribute to the city's artistic vitality and the renown of the high artistic standards that drive it.
