Professor of Law at Osgoode Hall Law School, Chief Prosecutor of the International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia and the International Criminal Tribunal for Rwanda, judge of the Supreme Court of Canada, High Commissioner for Human Rights, United Nations Special Representative for International Migration, she has made enduring contributions to an unprecedented evolution of the international legal order. Her eminent career, devoted entirely to the service of justice and encompassing many prestigious positions, has contributed greatly to Montréal’s renown.
