Université de Montréal and the Fonds de recherche du Québec unveiled the Montréal Declaration for a responsible development of Artificial intelluigence (AI).
This Declaration suggests an ethical framework for the development and deployment of AI and wants to achieve an inclusive, equitable and ecologically sustainable development.
Ten key ethical principles will be apply to the field of the digital technology and artificial intelligence to promote responsible AI: well-being, respect for autonomy, protection of privacy and intimacy, solidarity, democratic participation, equity, diversity inclusion, prudence, responsibility and sustainable development. Based on these principles, eight recommendations have been developed for the purpose of suggesting guidelines for accomplishing the digital transition within the ethical framework of the Declaration.
