Creation of three digital centers of excellence in Montréal

As part of Digital Economy Action Plan, the Québec government has selected nine digital centers of excellence in Québec, three of them are located in Montréal.

These centers of excellence aimed to foster the development of promising areas associated with the information and communications technology (ICT) sector, in order to facilitate creating and marketing digital business solutions and accelerating the development of SMEs and startups in these areas.

The three Montreal organizations selected are:

  • Savoir-faire Linux, Center of Excellence for Open Innovation and Shared Mobility;
  • Société du Quartier de ‘Innovation de Montréal, Center of Excellence for Next Generation Network and Internet of Things;
  • Hub on Big Data in Culture and the Quartier des Spectacles de Montréal, Center of Excellence on mutualization and Big Data use by Arts and Culture Organizations and Enterprises.
