Changing an item's image

You can change the image of an item that includes the Image attribute. The Image attribute enables users to associate an image with an item. The image is displayed beside the item's display name in the page area.

Note: You must be logged on as a page owner or an authorized user with the appropriate page or item-level privileges.

To change an item's image:

  1. Navigate to the page that includes the item.

Note: If you do not see the page that you want to work with, you may not have the appropriate page access privileges. See your page group administrator to gain access.

  2. Switch to Edit mode.

  3. Click beside the item that includes the image that you want to change.

  4. In the Image field, enter the location of the image. Use the first field to enter or browse for the image on your file system. Alternatively, use the second field to enter the URL of an image, or reuse an image that has already been uploaded to the portal by entering its internal name (not file name) without a path, for example 1645.GIF.

  5. In the Image Alignment list, choose how you want the item's image aligned in the page area.

See Item image alignment for a description and example of the different image alignment options.

  6. Click OK.
