Danièle Sauvageau's other accomplishments over more than forty years as a significant pioneer in sport, particularly women's sport, are numerous. The launching of the Conseil du sport de Montréal and the notable creation of the 21.02 High Performance Hockey Centre in Verdun are among her greatest legacies, both contributing to the local and international recognition of Montréal as a leading sports metropolis.
