Deleting Portal DB providers

Deleting a provider deletes all database portlets that comprise the provider.

To delete a provider, you must have

• MANAGE provider-level access privileges, or

• MANAGE ALL PROVIDERS global privileges.

If your provider is a portlet provider, you will also need:

• PUBLISH ALL PROVIDERS global privileges.

To delete a provider:

1.  In the Oracle Portal Navigator, navigate to the list of providers.

2. In the Name column, scroll to the provider you want to delete.

3. Click Delete in the Actions column next to the provider. A message asks you to confirm that you want to delete the provider. If you click Yes, you will not be able to recover the providers

4. Click Yes to drop the provider from the database. It no longer displays in the Navigator.
