Renaming Portal DB providers

You can change the display name or internal name of a provider.

To rename a provider, you must have:

• EDIT provider-level access privileges, or

• EDIT ALL PROVIDERS global privileges.

To rename a provider:

1.  In the Oracle Portal Navigator, click the providers tab

2. In the Name column, scroll to the provider you want to rename.

3. Click Edit in the Actions column next to the provider.

4. In Provider Name, enter an internal name that identifies the provider to Oracle Portal and the provider Navigator.

5. In Provider Display Name, enter an external name that identifies the provider to other Portal users.

6. Click OK. The new Provider Display Name now displays in the Oracle Portal Navigator.
