You can control the types of items that users can add to a page group. For example, you might want to include your own custom item types. You can also reorder item types to establish the order to use when items in a region are grouped by item type.
To
choose which item types are available in a page group, you must have
at least one of the following privileges:
Manage All privileges on the page group
Manage All global privileges on All Page Groups
In the Navigator click Properties next to the page group with which you want to work.
Click the Configure tab.
In the Content Type and Classification section, click Edit.
In the Hidden Item Types list, choose the item types that you want users to be able to add to pages in the page group.
Tip: You can choose more than one item type in the Hidden Item Types list. For example on Microsoft Windows, press Ctrl or Shift and choose multiple item types.
Click
to move the chosen item types to the Visible
Item Types list.
In the Visible Item Types list, choose the item types that you do not want users to be able to add to pages in the page group.

Click
to move the chosen item types to the Hidden
Item Types list.
Note: If you exclude item types from a page group, you are not deleting those item types, you are simply preventing users from being able to add items of those types.
Use the
buttons to determine the order when items in a region are grouped
by item type.
Click OK to return to the Configure tab.
Click OK to return to the Navigator.
If you hide a shared item type, it is only hidden in the current page group (not in all page groups). To hide a shared item type in all page groups, you must hide it in the Shared Objects page group.
