When a user adds a new item to a page group, the New icon ()
is displayed next to it, to inform other users that the item is new
and may contain information they haven't yet seen. When a user edits
an existing item, the Updated icon (
)
is displayed next to it, to inform other users that it has been
updated and may contain new information. You can control how long an
item is considered new or recently updated by changing the display
period of these icons.
To
change the New and Updated icon display period, you must have at
least one of the following privileges:
Manage All privileges on the page group
Manage All global privileges on All Page Groups
In the Navigator click Properties next to the page group with which you want to work.
Click the Items tab.
In the Icon Display Period field, enter the number of days to display:
next to newly added items.
next to recently edited items.
Tip: Set Icon Display Period to 0 if you do not want to display the icons at all.
Click OK.
The display period applies to both the
and
icons. You cannot set a different display period for the individual icons.
The new and updated icons display only if the New Item Indicator and Updated Item Indicator attributes are included in the region. For information about how to do this, see Changing the attributes displayed in a region.
