Displaying images for perspectives

When perspectives are displayed in lists (for example, in a list of items in a page), you can have an image appear for the perspective rather than text.

Note: To display images for items with perspectives, you must modify the page region that includes the items. For more information, see Displaying links for perspectives.

You must be a page group or Portal administrator to modify a perspective.

To display an image for your perspective:

  1. Access the Navigator and click Page Groups.

  2. Click Contents next to the name of the page group that contains the perspective.

Note: If your perspective is shared across page groups, click Contents next to Shared Objects rather than a particular page group. Only portal administrators and users with page group management privileges can modify shared objects.

  3. Click Perspectives. If the list of perspectives is very long, use Find to go directly to the desired perspective.

  4. If you are editing a child perspective, click Sub-Perspectives next to the parent perspective until you see the child perspective that you want to edit.

  5. Click Properties next to the desired perspective.

  6. Select Display Icon With Item.

  7. Click Image.

  8. Enter an image name in Icon Name. This image appears as a link next to items that are assigned to the perspective (such as in a search results list).

Note: To display images for items with perspectives, you must modify the page region that includes the items. For more information, see Displaying links for perspectives.
