A provider group is a mechanism for organizing Web providers. You can create a brand new, empty provider group and add providers to it later. When the provider group is registered with another portal, all the providers it owns are listed under it. It is then a simple task of clicking a single link to register each of those providers with the portal.
To
create a provider group, you must have at least Create privileges on
All Providers.
In the Navigator, click the Providers tab.
At the root level of the Providers tab, click Provider Group next to the text Create New...
Tip: This link appears at the top of the Providers tab. Make sure you click the link next to the text Create New..., rather than the link next to the text Register New....
In the Provider Group Name field, enter a name for the new provider group.
Note: The name must be unique, and is limited to 60 characters. The name can contain only alphanumeric characters (A-Z, a-z, 0-9) and the underscore (_) character. Do not use spaces or other special characters.
In the Provider Group Display Name field, enter a more descriptive name for the new provider group.
Click OK.
