S.O.U.PE. Festival starting at 4 p.m. People from all over the world enjoy soup, which is a symbol of exchange, creativity and sharing. It is therefore in this spirit that we invite you to come and taste over twenty different soups, free of charge, in a festive atmosphere. A contest, entertainment and activities will be "on the menu" as well. An excellent opportunity to socialize and discover the various cultural communities in LaSalle. All festival-goers will be encouraged to rate the soups they taste. Around 8 p.m., the patron of the Festival will award the Louche d'Or to the organization that has obtained the most votes. Prizes will also be awarded to the first and second runners-up.
Jazzamboka at 6:30 p.m. Particularly inspired by Central Africa, the members of this group will present you a show filled with surprises that will carry you away to foreign lands, without taking your eyes off the stage. Presented by the Vue sur la relève Festival.
Sudeshna Haldar at 7:30 p.m. Sudeshna Haldar, the winner of the local finals of Cégep en spectacle, will treat you to a magnificent Indian dance performance.
Chico Band at 9 p.m. In a sunny, festive atmosphere, the Chico Band invites you to a real fiesta. The hot rhythms of Cuban and Latin music will definitely get you up and dancing.
Opt for the bus or a bike The best way to get to parc des Rapides is by bus: on the 58 Wellington, the 109 Shevchenko, the 110 Centrale or the 123 Dollard. If you absolutely must use your car, take advantage of the parking facilities at Arena Jacques-Lemaire. For cyclists, there is a secured bike parking area in the park.
Thanks to the support from the Government of Canada and Labatt Brewery as well as the invaluable cooperation of Club Richelieu de LaSalle, CKVL-FM Radio LaSalle and LaSalle's cultural communities, the Canada Day festivities will be a big success once again this year.
