Oracle Portal provides build wizards that guide you step by step through the process of creating a database portlet.
To
build a database portlet, you must have Edit or higher access
privileges in the provider that will own the finished database portlet.
To build a database portlet:
On the Oracle Portal Home page, click
on the shortcut bar.
Click the Providers tab in the Oracle Portal Navigator.
The Name column of the Navigator displays the names of all providers in which you have privileges.
Click the name of the provider in which you want to build the new database portlet.
Click Create, then click the database portlet type you want to build; for example, a Chart or Form.
Depending on the type of database portlet you are building, Oracle Portal displays either the first step of the database portlet build wizard or a menu of additional choices. If you click Form, for example, you have the option of creating a form based on a table or view, a master-detail form, or a form based on a procedure.
When the first step of the database portlet build wizard displays, follow the instructions shown on each step.
A progress indicator displays
how many wizard steps are left to complete. You can click the Finish
button on some steps to create the database portlet using default values for
options on all the wizard steps you didn't complete.
