From May 25 to June 8 and from September 21 to October 5, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., 12 fire stations will be taking part in the event, offering Montrealers a range of activities designed to raise awareness of fire safety.

During the night of March 12 to 13, you will have to change the time on your clocks. Montréal’s fire department (SIM) would like to take this opportunity to remind Montrealers to check that their fire alarms are in good working order. Saving lives could be that simple!

The By-law concerning false fire alarms aims to reduce the number of avoidable false fire alarms. In case of an actual fire, these alarms must be taken very seriously.

Few people suspect that smartphones, tablets, laptop computers, or electrical scooters and bikes can actually start a fire.
