Portes ouvertes des casernes 2023
From September 24 to October 15, 2022, 8 fire stations will indeed welcome the public from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. and educate them about fire safety.
At the start of this autumn, the Service de sécurité incendie de Montréal (SIM) is opening its doors to Montrealers. From September 23 to October 14, 2023, eight fire stations will be taking part in the event, offering Montrealers a host of activities designed to raise awareness of fire safety.

These activities will give citizens the opportunity to discover the world of fire stations and to learn more about the professions of firefighter and prevention agent. These days are also an opportunity to receive various prevention tips, visit the trucks, enjoy the SIMulator and meet the Chief mascot, and much more! The firefighters and prevention agents will be on hand to welcome citizens and coordinate the visits.

A unique and concrete initiative, the fire station open houses are an excellent opportunity to exchange with the population and to answer questions from young and old alike.

This year, the open house will focus on the safety of using rechargeable lithium-ion batteries in our everyday devices, as well as the need to have a working smoke alarm.

To find out more about the fire stations that will be opening their doors, see the schedule below.
