Social and Community Housing

To be eligible for financial assistance under the AccèsLogis Québec program, a project must first be presented by a cooperative, a non-profit organization or the Office municipal d’habitation de Montréal.

These promoter organizations must contact expert advisors from the Technical Resources Groups (TRG) to develop their project and submit an application for financial assistance. Four TRGs have been recognized by the Ville de Montréal to support promoter partners and give advice on the organization of associative life, file preparation, financial set-up as well as the architectural component of the social and community housing project.

Social and financial viability criteria must be met for eligible projects to be accepted. Projects are selected based on objectives involving social needs, municipal guidelines and grant budgets awarded by the Gouvernement du Québec.

Several types of projects can be eligible: the construction of new dwellings, the conversion of non-residential buildings into housing or the renovation of existing dwelling units.
