Marianne-Sarah Saulnier

Marianne-Sarah Saulnier Holder of a doctorate in anthropology on the living conditions of women in India from the Université de Montréal, Marianne-Sarah Saulnier is currently pursuing post-doctoral work on the impact of climate change on women. Her research interests include feminist studies, political and social inequalities, and intercultural relations. An anthropologist and ethnomusicologist, she coordinates a music project for children with the Université de Montréal and the Montreal Symphony Orchestra (MSO). As part of her involvement in various volunteer projects, she founded a self-help group to offer free French classes and runs a scientific journal dedicated, among other things, to easing the isolation of students during the pandemic. Joining the Conseil des montréalaises was an opportunity for her to combine her research experience with her feminist social commitment.
