Dominique Daigneault

Dominique Daigneault is president of the Conseil central du Montréal métropolitain-CSN (Confédération des syndicats nationaux), whose role is to support the labour struggles of its 100,000 members. Among other things, she is responsible for the status of women, health and social services. A long-time feminist, she is a former staff member of the Centre des femmes de Verdun, a professor in social work techniques (on the status of women) and a member of the women's committee of the Fédération nationale des enseignantes et des enseignants du Québec-CSN. The issue of women's poverty is particularly close to her heart.
