Granting shared database portlet access
Access privileges are granted for all shared database portlets of a given type (colors, fonts, images, JavaScripts, or UI templates). They cannot be granted on an individual shared database portlet.
You
must have Manage shared database portlet access
to grant access to another user or group.
To grant shared database portlet access to another user or group.
Click
on the navigation shortcut bar.
Click the Provider tab in the Oracle Portal Navigator.
Scroll down the Name column to Shared database portlets.
In the Actions column, click Grant Access.
In the Grantee field, enter
the name of the Oracle Portal
user or group of users to whom you want to grant privileges. Click
or
to search for users or groups.
Choose an access privilege in the list next to the grantee, either Manage or Create. The default value is Create.
Click Add. The user or group you entered in Grantee now appears in the Change Access list at the bottom of the page with the access privilege you granted.
(Optional) To modify an access privilege, choose a new privilege next to the user or group.
(Optional) To remove a privilege, click
next to the user or group.
Click OK.
Notes:
By default, all users who are members of the DBA or PORTAL_DEVELOPER groups have Manage shared database portlet access privileges.
Because OID can include multiple containers that can use the same group names, the distinguished name (DN) is displayed next to any group that does not belong to the local Portal instance.
