Configuring a DAD

mod_plsql provides support for building and deploying PL/SQL-based applications on the Web. PL/SQL stored procedures can retrieve data from database tables and generate HTTP responses containing formatted data and HTML code to display in a Web browser.

A DAD is a set of configuration values that specify how the PL/SQL gateway connects to the Oracle database server to fulfill an HTTP request.

NoteYou must be a portal administrator to configure a DAD.

To configure a DAD:

  1. Navigate to the Portal Home Page.

  2. Click the Builder icon.

  3. Access the Administer tab.

  4. Select Portal Service Monitoring in the Services portlet. This links to the Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM) functionality.
