Configuring the Login Server

The Login Server allows users to log in to Oracle Portal and any partner and external applications using a single user name and password.

Note

  • You must have Full Administrator privileges on the Login Server to change any of its settings.

  • You must be an Oracle Portal Administrator to access the Administer tab of the Oracle Portal home page.

To configure the Login Server:

  1. On the Login Server home page, click Login Server Administration.

Note: If you are an Oracle Portal user, access the Oracle Portal home page's Administer tab. By default, this is where the Login Server Administration portlet is located.

  2. Click Edit Login Server Administration.

  3. In the Password Policy section, choose options that set the rules for selecting a valid password.

  4. In the Account Lock Policy section, choose options that set the rules for locking out users from the Login Server after unsuccessful login attempts.

  5. In the Logout Behavior section, choose whether users log out of both the Login Server and the Single Sign-On session after clicking the Logout link, or whether they log out of the Login Server only.

  6. In the Territory Selection section, choose whether to enable user to choose their territory.

  7. Click OK.
