You can promote objects from the current page group to the "shared" page group. When you promote an object, you make it visible across all page groups. You can promote categories, perspectives, and styles, and custom attributes, page types, and item types.
Notes:
You must have the appropriate privileges to promote an object.
Access the Navigator and click Page Groups.
Click Contents next to the name of the page group that includes the object that you want to promote.
To promote a category, perspective, or style, click Categories, Perspectives, or Styles. To promote an attribute, page type, or item type, click Custom Types. Then click Attributes, Page Types, or Item Types.
Click Promote next to the name of the object that you want to promote.
A confirmation message appears.
Click Yes.
The object is promoted.
If you are promoting a non-public style (that is, a style for which the Make Public check box is not selected), the style is moved to the Shared Objects page group, but is not made public. If you want other users to be able to use the style, you must explicitly make the style public.
