From May 25 to June 8 and from September 21 to October 5, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., 12 fire stations will be taking part in the event, offering Montrealers a range of activities designed to raise awareness of fire safety.

The Service de sécurité incendie de Montréal (SIM) opens its doors to Montrealers. These activities will give citizens the opportunity to discover the world of fire stations and to learn more about the professions of firefighter and prevention agent. These days are also an opportunity to receive various prevention tips, visit the trucks, enjoy the SIMulator and meet the Chief mascot, and much more! The firefighters and prevention agents will be on hand to welcome citizens and coordinate the visits.

A unique and concrete initiative, the fire station open houses are an excellent opportunity to exchange with the population and to answer questions from young and old alike.

This year, the open house will focus on the safety of using rechargeable lithium-ion batteries in our everyday devices, as well as the need to have a working smoke alarm.

To find out more about the fire stations that will be opening their doors, see the schedule below.

We hope to see many of you there!
