Once again this year, the Service de sécurité incendie de Montréal (SIM) is holding an Open House for Montréal residents. Every Saturday from September 28 to October 19, 2019, 10 fire stations will welcome the public from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. and educate them about fire safety.
At the Open House, residents can learn about life at the fire station and the jobs of firefighters and prevention officers. They will have the chance to learn about a number of prevention tips, visit fire trucks, check out the SIMulateur and inflatable fire station, and much more! Firefighters and prevention officers will be on site to welcome residents and coordinate tours.
Open House is a tangible and unique initiative in Montréal’s fire stations that is a perfect opportunity to meet the public and answer their questions.
This year, the themes will be creating an evacuation plan and making sure you have a working smoke detector.
To learn more about fire stations that are participating in the Open House, check the schedule below.
