Station 65 will host its annual Open House Day on June 6, 2015. The station is located at 1300 avenue Dollard in the borough of LaSalle. To mark the occasion, the station, for the ninth consecutive year, will stage a full slate of family and community activities in conjunction with Opération Enfant Soleil’s annual fundraising campaign.

As part of this major campaign, visitors will be invited to take part in a number of free activities, games and awareness workshops. Inflatable games, a mascot, makeup, a drawing table, fire truck rides, demonstrations, animated activities, a show and much more will be made available for the enjoyment of adults and children alike. Visitors will also be treated to a hot-dog lunch, in exchange for a voluntary contribution.

After a visit, some nine years ago, from Cédrick Deschenes, a 9-year-old boy diagnosed with sinus cancer, the firefighters of station 65 made it their mission to get involved in the cause of sick children. Thanks to the generosity of everyone involved, the station’s firefighters have remitted close to $200,000 to Opération Enfant Soleil in the eight years since.

Families, visitors and collaborators will be welcomed to station 65, rain or shine, on Saturday, June 6 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
