This year’s theme is preventing cooking fires.

The fire department will be offering a series of activities all week long to inform Montrealers about the different causes of fires and what they can do to prevent them.  

The 2017 Fire Prevention Week will take place from October 6 to 15

October 6: Launch of fire prevention week

  • 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. in the Parc Sauvé in Montréal-Nord.
  • SIMulator, inflatable fire station and Chief, the SIM mascot, will all be on site  
  • Educational booths and activities for the whole family
