Getting an Accès Montréal card
A card that quickly pays for itself
For just $8, the card often pays for itself the first time it is used because of the discounts our partners offer! And if several people living at the same address get several cards simultaneously, the prices go down:
- $8 for the first card
- $7 for the second card
- $6 for subsequent cards

Simple terms and conditions
Do you live in Montréal or own property in Montréal? If so, you can get an Accès Montréal card. Simply show the following documents at one of the points of sale:
- A recent photo (passport format passeport) *
- A recent proof of residence (driver’s license, municipal tax bill, utility bill from Hydro-Québec, Bell, etc.) at the latest one (1) year old from now.
- Photo I.D. (health insurance card, driver’s license, etc.)
*Most of Accès Montréal offices are equipped with digital camera on-site (A $2.5- $3 fees applies). Municipal libraries do not provide photo services, except the Le Prévost, Parc-Extension and Saint-Michel librairies.
An online renewal
As part of this year’s celebrations marking the 375th anniversary of Montréal, the Accès Montréal card takes this opportunity to improve its services. Yes, it is now possible to renew your subscriptions directly online!
Go to this address, fill out the form and make your payment by credit card. A sticker will be mailed to you within a maximum of three weeks. If your card is already expired or if it expires within this period, you may use the receipt as a temporary card.
