Let's get moving !
À go, on bouge ! is part of Montréal's Policy on Children designed to encourage young people to develop healthy lifestyles. Active mornings are therefore intended specifically for 8-12-year-olds and consist of sports or physical activities offered free of charge at Cavelier-De LaSalle High School. No registration is necessary. Children just have to come on the day they want to take part in the activities. Sneakers and sports clothing are required.
The activities, which will be organized and supervised by on-site leaders, will vary each week (examples of activities: soccer, omnikin, circuit, basketball, etc.). They will take place 9:30 a.m. - noon every Saturday morning, September 29 – December 15, 2018.
*** Please note that the Saturday activity will be cancelled on December 1 due to the unavailability of the gym.
The purpose of this initiative is to supplement the sports and recreational services offered to youngsters in LaSalle, in accordance with Montréal's Policy on Children. In particular, this policy aims to:
- contribute to the creation of environments conducive to the overall development of all Montréal children
- enable tiny tots to be born and grow up in families equipped to welcome and care for them
- provide a range of services that meet the various needs of children, including discovery, learning and development
- support actions that help children in their educational path towards autonomy
