Special Tourisme Montral edition

Montreal is one of the hottest tourist destinations in the world. A North American city with European flair, its multicultural aspect, its eclecticism, and the lifestyle of its inhabitants have long had exotic appeal.

"One visit a Montrealer forever. The Centre d'histoire de Montral invites you to imagine you're a tourist in your own city and create the postcard you think epitomizes the spirit of Montreal.

And winners are:

His photograph associates an everyday scene with particularly colourful elements of an urban setting that allows both Montrealers and tourists to instantly identify the city.

Mathias was awarded a photography contract with Tourisme Montreal worth $2,000.

Biosphre
Patrick Palmer

This photograph offers an impressive and unconventional view of the Biosphere on le Sainte-Hlne, one of the icons of modern Montral that reshaped the citys tourism image in the 1960s and 70s.

Patrick was awarded a gift certificate for $1,000 at Photoservice, an All Eyes on Montral partner since 1991.

Cette image carte postale a capt le paysage classique du centre-ville, vu du belvdre du mont Royal. Sous un ciel lourd sur fond de campagne montrgienne, cette vue encadre par le feuillage de vinaigriers a l'intrt d'voquer la fois la lourdeur tropicale de certains ts montralais, la nord-amricanit de la ville et son enracinement gographique dans un de ces grands espaces du continent qui impressionnent tant nos visiteurs trangers.

Le photographe a reu un Forfait Passion offert par Tourisme Montral d'une valeur de 500 $.

The Centre d'histoire de Montral and Tourisme Montral wanted to underline the artistic qualities of the photograph titled Farine Five Roses by Carlos Viani (although he was not named a winner).
