Policy of recognition and support for NPOs
In December 2015, the Borough Council adopted its first recognition and support policy for non-profit organizations (NPOs). There are more than a hundred organizations working in the territory of the borough of Pierrefonds -Roxboro. These organizations are essential to the cultural, sports, community and social activities of the borough.
The policy of recognition and support of NPOs is an administrative document which circumscribes its scope, which describes the values and principles to which he subscribes, its main areas of intervention, the roles and responsibilities of different stakeholders, the rules to follow and the analysis criteria for the recognition and support.
The policy of recognition and support of NPOs formalizes the principles and values of the borough in culture, sports, recreation and social development activities. It also defines the roles and responsibilities of different actors that are part of the policy, and the rules, conditions and criteria to be applied in the recognition and support procedure.
The policy allows to share more fairly the budget dedicated to the support of NPOs, taking into account the relative importance of interventions, but also the proper use of subsidies.
