Participatory democracy
Saint-Laurent residents are invited to participate in democratic life by
attending a number of public meetings that are being organized, and by
expressing their opinions on major orientations and projects.
In
addition to the public Council meetings that enable the public
to learn about projects under way at Borough Hall and to interact with elected
officials, a variety of structures have been implemented to enable those who are
interested in the democratic process to become active participants. For example,
committees, meetings, information sessions, task forces and calls for proposals,
among other activities, are being introduced.
