Support for businesses

Our Economic Development Commissioner works to support the borough’s economic vitality. He advises and assists businesses, investors and businesspeople as they turn their plans into reality. He also promotes the development of our commercial arteries.

The Economic Development Commissioner is able to guide and facilitate your interactions with municipal bodies and borough departments through the following services:

  • Information on the financial assistance programs offered by the Ville de Montréal
  • Help with research, feasibility studies, start-up and organization of a new or expanding business in the borough
  • Support for and involvement with merchants and merchants’ associations (CDCs, street fairs, joint projects, creation of new associations, local events)
  • Forging connections between the different partners, contributors and stakeholders involved in the borough’s economic development
