2018 collection schedule:
Wednesdays: April 25; May 2, 9, 16, 23 and 30; June 6,13; September 26, October 3, 10, 17, 24 and 31; November 7, 14, 21 and 28.
Green waste must be placed in compostable paper bags (sold in most major stores) or in a reusable garbage bin and deposited on the curb between 9 p.m. on Tuesday and 7 a.m. on Wednesday morning.
Containers or paper bags must not weigh more than 25 kg.
Accepted type of waste are:
- residue from cleaning gardens
- vegetable gardens and fruit trees
- grass clippings
- evergreen branches (maximum of 1 m in length and 5 cm in diameter)
- dead leaves
Attention! Materials refused: table waste, including meat and cooked vegetables, earth and rocks, deciduous tree branches (which are part of a separate collection), tree trunks and stumps, and animal litter.
In order to address Emerald Ash Borer infestation, deciduous tree branches will be picked up separately from green residue. To dispose of them, please call 311.
