Notre-Dame-de-Grâce Cultural Centre
The Notre-Dame-de-Grâce Cultural Centre houses the Benny Library, an exhibition hall, as well as an indoor terrace and an outdoor yard that’s ideal for open-air cultural events. The 200-seat performance hall was designed specifically for dance performance, and it will offer multidisciplinary programming that satisfies audiences of all ages. Activities will be presented during the summer of 2016, and the official programming launch will be held in the fall of 2016.
The new Benny Library
The Benny Library offers a collection of 130,000 documents, some 40% of which will be in English. Thanks to the library’s state-of-the-art facilities, users will have access hundreds of video games, films, journals, comics and graphic novels, as well as a vast collection of electronic books.
By housing a major artistic performance venue and a modern and user-friendly library under the same roof, the Côte-des-Neiges–Notre-Dame-de-Grâce Borough now has a facility that truly reflects its identity: pluralistic, people-friendly and dynamic.
The NDG Cultural Centre, which required an investment of $24.6M, enjoys financial support under the Entente sur le développement culturel de Montréal between the Ministère de la Culture et des Communications and the Ville de Montréal.
