Martha Cecilia Remache Benavides

Originally from Quito, Ecuador, Martha Cecilia Remache Benavides immigrated to Quebec in 2010. She holds a master's degree in regional studies and interventions from the Université de Québec à Chicoutimi. She is interested in economic development as a tool for improving the living conditions of the least privileged populations. She is currently an analyst and loan portfolio manager at Microcrédit Montréal. She has also worked as a project manager and coordinator in several national and international organizations in Ecuador, and as a project manager at Finance Alliance for Sustainable Trade in Montreal. Martha sees the Conseil des Montréalaises as an ideal opportunity to promote her values of social justice and democracy. She dreams of an inclusive city, where all women can benefit from affordable housing, and where women interested in entrepreneurship can accomplish their goals.
