Évelyne Jean-Bouchard

Évelyne Jean-Bouchard Évelyne Jean-Bouchard holds a Ph.D. in law. She is a postdoctoral researcher at the Centre de recherche en droit public of the Université de Montréal and works as a research project manager at the Institut québécois de réforme du droit et de la justice. During her academic career, she conducted field studies with Indigenous women in Quebec and women victims of armed conflicts in eastern Democratic Republic of the Congo. She has also worked with the Canadian Center for International Studies and Cooperation (CECI) in Haiti and Senegal. She is the author of numerous scientific articles and the 2018 recipient of the Alice Wilson Award from the Royal Society of Canada given to women of outstanding academic qualifications who are entering a career in scholarship or research at the postdoctoral level. She dreams of a city where all women, including racialized and marginalized women, can have access to social services and health care tailored to their needs.
