A commercial street generally consists of at least 50 businesses located in a specific street section. Commercial streets in Montréal are represented by merchants’ associations in 16 different boroughs.
Of course, commercial rents in commercial streets largely depend on location and customer traffic. In its comparative study of fashion-oriented commercial streets, Colliers International presented the following data for 2009:
