Thefts from Vehicles: Be on the Alert!

13 août 2020

Montréal, August 6, 2020 - Over the past two months, the SPVM has noted an increase in thefts from vehicles in LaSalle. On July 28, LaSalle police officers arrested a man in connection with his numerous thefts from vehicles.

The investigation is ongoing in order to determine whether he is guilty of other thefts that have occurred in the area. If you have been the victim of a theft from your vehicle, it is important to report it to the LaSalle police station (#13), even if no valuable items have been lost. In addition, if you have photos or videos that show the theft with a suspect, please give them to the police. This will greatly assist them in the investigation.

Rest assured that the LaSalle police are continuing their efforts to solve this type of crime.

We encourage you, as LaSalle residents, to stay alert, to keep your entrances and driveways well lit, to lock your vehicle doors and, above all, not to leave any valuable items inside your vehicle.
